Rishi Sunak has announced that the scheme is going to be extended for four months, until the end of October 2020. It is said that until the end of July, there will be no changes to the scheme, however from August to October 2020, the scheme will continue on the basis that furloughed employees can be brought back part-time.
Full details of the changes will not be published by the end of May.
