West Midlands law firm Sydney Mitchell has appointed a new partner and two new associates.

Based at the firm's Shirley office, Adam Oleskow is promoted to partner. Adam joined Sydney Mitchell's Residential Property department as an associate in 2003. He has been instrumental in developing new case management systems to ensure matters are dealt with rapidly and efficiently. Adam has a loyal client base, and will be joining the strong partnership team.

Daniel Blood becomes an associate in Sydney Mitchell's Shirley office where he specialises in Commercial Property work. Daniel joined the firm's Remortgage department in 2000, and has developed a sound knowledge of the law during his time with Sydney Mitchell.
Daniel is a committee member of the Shirley Town Centre Partnership, an organisation seeking improvement and prosperity for Shirley.

Judi Wood becomes an associate at the Sheldon office. Judi has brought both legal and life skills to the firm since she joined in 2003 when she qualified as a solicitor following a career as a cordon bleu chef. Judi deals with all aspects of family breakdown, with specific experience in education law covering such issues as appeals against exclusion, and entry into secondary education together with matters arising as a result of special educational needs.

Judi also undertakes counselling with those experiencing separation and family breakdown.

The three promotions come at a time of increased work within the Residential and Commercial Property and Family Law departments for the firm. Commenting on the promotions, senior partner Richard Holland said: 'I am pleased that we can promote good people from within the firm and maintain our high standards of client service.'
