About Lorna Payne

Lorna is a Senior Associate in the Private Client Team.

Lorna assists private clients and advises on wills, powers of attorney and tax planning.  She also deals with applications for grants of probates and administering estates and advises trustees.

Her specialisms include trust law, tax and succession planning. 

She helps clients to meet their objectives by taking time to understand their needs.  She believes in a holistic approach to advising clients and thinks a lot can be gained from listening and finding out what is important to clients. 

Lorna is very approachable and prides herself in explaining matters in simple, easy to understand language rather than legal jargon. She understands the importance and benefit of working with a client’s existing professional advisers where appropriate.

Lorna handles a variety of private client work including:

  • Administration of estates from initial instruction through to final winding up
  • Advice regarding trusts
  • Inheritance tax planning advice
  • Court of Protection applications
  • Advice on, creation and registration of,  lasting powers of attorney
  • Drafting of complex wills

Lorna enjoys spending time with friends and family.  She enjoys travelling and is a keen skier, normally skiing annually with a large group of friends. She also enjoys live music.
