New Partner and New Senior Promotions

Senior Promotions Sydney Mitchell LLP - Melissa Southall, Jayne Gregg, Charlotte Jones, Mitra MannSydney Mitchell LLP, Top Tier Legal 500 law firm, is pleased to announce a new Partner as part of four senior promotions that showcase its wealth and variety of legal talent. The new promotions include Mitra Mann to Partner, Melissa Southall to Senior Associate, and Jayne Gregg and Charlotte Jones to Associates.

Mitra Mann joined Sydney Mitchell in 2023, bringing with her extensive experience as a specialist private client litigator in Contentious Probate and Court of Protection disputes.  She deals with cases involving will disputes, claims for reasonable financial provisions from an estate, professional negligence, restoring a vulnerable person’s estate and a range of Court of Protection applications. She has completed the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) course and is a member of Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA) and STEP Mental Capacity Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

Mitra is also an accomplished author, having recently published a book on ‘Court of Protection: A Practical Guide to Gifting’, and has delivered webinars and seminars in several Court of Protection practice areas to raise awareness around the financial exploitation of vulnerable people.

Melissa Southall, Senior Associate, joined Sydney Mitchell in 2019 and has been instrumental in keeping the firm in the Top Tier of the Legal 500 for Immigration services.  Melissa is an experienced Solicitor and provides extensive personal immigration advice to clients on spouse visas, applications for children, asylum, European applications to citizenship.

Jayne Gregg, Associate, FCILEx, has extensive experience in all areas of Family Law. She is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to a non-confrontational approach to dealing with divorce and separation issues.

Charlotte Jones, Associate Solicitor in the Private Client team is diligent in her advice to clients on a wide variety of private client matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate, estate administration and Court of Protection areas. Charlotte is also a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner.
