Tony Harris is a Consultant based mainly at the firm’s Shirley office, but also practising, where necessary, out of the Birmingham office. Tony is a very well known solicitor in the area and was formerly for some 27 years Senior Partner at the firm that he started in Solihull.

Tony has a wide range of experience in corporate and commercial matters and has for many years been involved with his loyal client base in commercial developments throughout England and Wales.

Specialising in all types of commercial property transactions, Tony deals particular with transactions from greenfield site through to practical completion of the construction of the new building.

Along with Tony’s speciality in dealing with commercial developments, over the last 10 years he has become increasingly involved in acting on behalf of GPs in the creation of new Primary Care Centres (PCCs). This includes construction by the doctors themselves, by the local primary care trust/LIFT project, and/or by developers. Each of these projects can take some two years or longer to progress from greenfield site to opening of the new PCCs.

Tony has also acted for groups of doctors’ practices in arranging the taking over of Provider and Commissioning Services from Primary Care Trusts and acting on behalf of Consultants and Surgeons in their various negotiations with hospitals, both in the public and private sectors.

Tony is also used to dealing with individual clients and looking after their particular needs.

Tony believes that very often the best way to protect a client’s interest and to progress matters is by meetings, often at the client’s offices or surgeries. Tony puts emphasis on dealing with all legal matters within the anticipated or expected timetable of the client.

Tony has for some years been an active member of the Birmingham Law Society, with particular interests in the International Committee.
