Richard assists his clients in resolving commercial disputes often involving matters of professional negligence, partnership / shareholders’ disputes and matters involving fraud.

Richard’s aim is to consider, with the client, all options in resolving a dispute before it reaches a court hearing. He has considerable experience of mediation, arbitration and trials both in the County Court and High Court.

Richard has acted for clients on a number of matters in the Court of Appeal and more recently in the Supreme Court.

  • Acted on a £17.5 million professional negligence dispute against solicitors and accountants who had advised on a management buy in
  • Acted for purchasers in a claim of professional negligence against a surveyor who had failed to identify a significant property defect
