Judi Wood graduated from Cardiff University with a law degree in 2000 and qualified as a solicitor in April 2003.

She joined Sydney Mitchell in September 2003 as a specialist family solicitor, joining the team under the leadership of Karen Moores at the firms Sheldon office. Judi then became an associate with the firm in May 2007 and has recently qualified as a collaborative lawyer.

Judi has expertise in all aspects of private family law, including divorce, separation, matrimonial finance and children. Judi has considerable experience involving an international element and complex children's cases concerning the arrangement for the care of children and has acted on behalf of both mothers and fathers in such cases.

Judi has a particular interest in cases involving an educational element having previously worked in this field and also as she undertakes a role as a govener of an Academy school. This experience gives her insight and practical knowledge in dealing with the impact of exclusions, special needs, appeals and home education upon complex family situations.

In her spare time, Judi undertakes counselling with those experiencing separation and family breakdown. The combination of Judi's legal, collaborative and counselling skills enable her to give clients expert and supportive legal service.
