Samantha Elsmore is a CILEX Lawyer in our Private Client team. ‘CILEX’ stands for Chartered Institute for Legal Executives.
Samantha advises clients in a diverse range of matters including estate administration and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and Wills.
Samantha enjoys meeting clients (returning and new) and taking the time to understand their personal circumstances, priorities and concerns. Her demeanour is friendly, approachable and reassuring, going the extra mile to ensure that clients feel heard, supported and confident in the advice they receive.
Samantha values clear and respectful communication, and clients have often commented that she avoids using ‘legal jargon’ and appreciate that she can break down complex issues into clear and straightforward explanations, without losing the depth or detail of the issue.
Her expertise ensures that clients receive tailored advice to effectively manage their personal affairs, safeguard their assets, and plan for the future. Samantha’s empathetic approach and attention to detail make her an invaluable resource for individuals navigating the complexities of estate planning and personal legal matters.
Samantha has a law degree graduate from Bournemouth University, and started working at Sydney Mitchell in 2018 on a 12 month contract as a member of the support team in the Private Client team.
She eagerly returned six months later as a wills assistant and progressed to the position of legal assistant and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in May 2024, and went on to obtain Probate Practice Rights which she passed in April 2025. By obtaining her Practice Rights, her official title is a ‘CILEX Lawyer’.
Outside of work, Samantha has a enjoys crafting and making unique and personalised pieces. She also enjoys walking and training her rescued German Shepherd.
