Nik is a Partner* and head of our Risk and Compliance team
Nik has a wealth of experience in civil litigation, personal injury and family law, but over last twenty years has specialised in all aspects of regulatory law, SRA and FCA compliance. Nik spent almost a decade working for the main frontline regulator in the legal services market in investigatory, inspection/audit, management and practice support roles.
Nik is responsible for managing the quality, risk and compliance functions within the firm, which includes all aspects of professional conduct, client care, regulatory compliance and professional indemnity.
Nik is also our MLRO, Insurance Mediation Officer and the lead contact for Data Protection purposes.
Nik joined Sydney Mitchell in 2012, having worked for the Law Society / SRA for approaching a decade and has considerable experience in the design and delivery of quality, risk and compliance systems and providing training thereon.
Nik is available to advise professional, business and charity clients on all things quality and compliance related, most recently assisting one of the UKs top 100 charities.
Outside of work Nik enjoys spending time with his family, travelling the world and working on seemingly never-ending property renovation projects.
