With the introduction of the Official Injury Claim (OIC) portal, individuals with minor whiplash injuries lasting less than two years are gently encouraged to file claims directly through the portal. For minor whiplash claims under £5,000, this often means proceeding without legal representation.
No win no fee – how does it work?
If you win your claim and receive compensation, the defendant will pay the majority of your legal fees leaving you responsible for paying your own solicitor’s success fee.
The solicitor’s success fee is capped at 25% ( inclusive of vat) and is only deducted from the compensation you receive for your injury and any past losses but not future losses.
