About Shelley
Shelley is a Partner in the Private client team.
Shelley deals with the Administration of Estates, assisting clients in making applications to the Court of Protection and deals with the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Shelley also deals with a number of Court of Protection applications to include deputyship applications and trust in land applications.
Shelley’s role can include assisting clients at their most vulnerable time and with her friendly and reassuring manner, she helps clients feel at ease. She avoids ‘legal jargon’, ensuring that communication is clear and concise, all while ensuring matters are dealt with efficiently.
Shelley is a Dementia Friend and regularly presents to care homes, charities and organisations on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other private client matters.
Shelley began her law career at Sydney Mitchell straight from school, working in a number of different departments before becoming a wills clerk. She qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and now deals with all aspects of Private Client law.
With this wealth of experience Shelley is passionate about mentoring junior staff, ensuring they grow and develop under her guidance.
Outside her professional life, Shelley is involved in her local netball team, as a player, coach and umpire with Bournville Netball Club, and has been a volunteer and manager at Billesley & Kings Heath Little League Netball Club for over 25 years, sharing her love of the game since she was nine years old.
