Sydney Mitchell raises £4,000 for Headway West Midlands

 

 

West Midlands law firm Sydney Mitchell has handed over a cheque for £4,000 to one of their nominated charities, Headway West Midlands. Partner, Jonathan Simpson and Steve Santy presented the cheque to Traci Scott and Justin Powell from the charity.

The money was raised by the firm following various charity events, including the firm’s increasingly popular charity quiz night, all organised in aid of Headway.

Sydney Mitchell and Headway West midlandsHeadway West Midlands is a local charity whose aim is to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide information, support and services to people with brain injury, their families and their carers. Headway offers a social rehabilitation program for the brain injured person and in addition a community outreach team offers four services; Enquiry line, Community outreach, BMEG outreach and a Carer support and training programme.

On receiving the cheque Justin commented "The donations we receive make a significant impact in allowing us to enhance and develop the services we can offer. We are extremely grateful for all the dedicated and ongoing support given by Sydney Mitchell. They are helping us to make a very real difference to people’s lives, thank you so much to all the staff at Sydney Mitchell."

Sydney Mitchell has been committed to supporting Headway West Midlands since 2008 continues to pledge its’ support. Their support continues this weekend when Partner John Irving runs the Stratford half marathon in aid of Headway with further fund-raising during the year right through to the annual charity quiz night early next year.
