Norman Rea joins Sydney Mitchell LLP to extend employment services to clients

Sydney Mitchell have appointed Norman Rea as a Consultant within their Employment team in order to expand it’s services to clients.

Formerly a Senior Associate at Averta, Norman will be based at the Shirley office and will work in conjunction with Dean Parnell, Head of Employment at the firm’s city office and the employment team.

Dean is President of Birmingham Law Society and Norman is Chairman of Birmingham & District Ilex. and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and a long serving member of Birmingham Law Society’s Education & Training Committee. 

Norman has also recently been awarded Legal Executive of the Year 2011 by the Birmingham Law Society.

Norman specialises in employment law, high value insurance litigation and is an experienced Tribunal advocate.

Some of our clients have insurance cover for legal fees and with Norman’s experience we can represent them more effectively." He also has experience of ‘After the Event’ insurance, which can be bought to protect a client from a costs order on certain cases."
