Sydney Mitchell raises £4,000 for Headway West Midlands

 

 

West Midlands law firm Sydney Mitchell has handed over a cheque for £4,000 to one of their nominated charities, Headway West Midlands. Partner, Jonathan Simpson and Steve Santy presented the cheque to Traci Scott and Justin Powell from the charity.

Company and commercial partner, John Irving is taking on the challenge of the Stratford half marathon this Sunday in support of Headway West Midlands.

Headway West Midlands is one of the two charities that Sydney Mitchell supports. Headway helps to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provides information, support and services to people with brain injury, their families and carers.

Dean Parnell prepares to fall from a great height.

Sydney Mitchell's very own employment Partner, Dean Parnell, along with two other members of the Birmingham Law Society have decided to jump 13,500 feet out of a plane in support of the Tiny Babies Big Appeal.

Dean Parnell (president of the Law Society), Andrew Lancaster (vice president) and Mary Kaye (deputy vice president) will be making the big jump on Saturday 16th April.

Bringing festive cheer to Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Simon Jobson and Charles Jemmett of Sydney Mitchell Solicitors recently paid a visit to Birmingham's Children's hospital, taking with them some Christmas gifts for the Children at the hospital.

For the second year running, Daniel Blood and Simon Jobson, both associates at the firm, have raised funds in order to purchase toys and games for the children who will be spending Christmas in the hospital.

Team Sydney Mitchell Prepare For The Knowle Fun Run

Sydney Mitchell are entering a total of 8 teams into this years Knowle Fun Run, taking place on Sunday 11th May. Thanks to the success of the noble few who entered last year's run, the response to an appeal for 2008 runners has been impressive with nearly a third of Sydney Mitchell staff prepared to don their trainers in aid of a good cause.

The team are in the final stages of training for this years run, and are keen to get on the starting blocks ready to run in aid of their nominated local charity the Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood Leukaemia.

This year Sydney Mitchell will be supporting a local charity, set up by Diane Watt of AIB. The charity is The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for childhood and teenage leukaemia and was set up after the recent loss of Diane's daughter Maria.
