This course provides the basics of the Licensing Act, terminology, the licensing regime, overview and licensing objectives, licensable activities, the role of the authority (including policy), premises licenses (applications, content, duration, objections, responsible authorities etc), Designated Premises Supervisor, personal licenses (applications, content, duration), Club Premises Certificates, variation/transfer of licenses, reviews/appeals. There would also be coverage of recent developments.
This course is intended to be a short sharp introduction to the act and looks at licensing in general, the problem of underage drinking and dealing with problem drinkers. It is intended to provide staff with the basic knowledge they need under the Act
A look at the Gambling Act specifically as to how it affects Clubs, it considers Bingo, Poker gaming machine sand other relevant considerations under the Gambling Act 2005
